In order to reach your goals for health, fitness and weight loss, you must take the time to educate yourself properly. By failing to educate yourself about eating right and exercising effectively, you will not be able to achieve the results you desire.
Just as with any other endeavor you undertake, you must make a plan that is not based on incorrect information and misconceptions. You need to learn how to set realistic goals and assess your personal fitness level. Once you are able to obtain such information, you will be able to create an exercise and nutrition plan that works ideally for you.
If you are serious about making positive changes to your health, it is essential to educate yourself, and become empowered with knowledge. Reading health related books, articles, blogs, etc. is a great way to find some of the information that you need to live healthy. In addition, you can also attend lectures or find a quality health coach, both of which are extremely valuable to learning all about health and fitness.
It is important to make sure the information you obtain and research is coming from credible sources. Make sure the people and organizations you go to for information are dedicated to providing quality information as opposed to being financed by their own special interests.

- The American Medical Association
In this day and age, it seems a new miracle cure is popping up every other week. Read these articles to determine if you find nothing more than a sales pitch or if valuable information can actually be obtained. Ask yourself who is behind the article, and if the article even makes sense.
Many, many great books are available on several different health issues and concerns. In addition, several newsletters are out there to which you can subscribe. The answers you seek are out there. All you have to do is never give up searching for credible information and educating yourself on becoming as healthy as possible.
Although exercise is a major part of getting fit and staying healthy, nutrition is the base for a healthy life.
