Dr. Tyler Evans grew up in central Illinois and is now back providing plastic and reconstructive surgery in Peoria. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, he is trained in the full breadth of plastic and reconstructive surgery offering services for both adults and children. Whether you need an operation for cancer reconstruction or trauma, he provides full “head to toe” reconstructive expertise. He works directly with many other doctors in the area to provide post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, head/neck cancer reconstruction, orthoplastic reconstruction and traumatic injury reconstruction. He also works directly with local dermatologists to provide complex skin cancer treatment.
Dr. Evans also pursued additional training during a hand and upper extremity fellowship in the Department of Orthopedics at The Ohio State University in Columbus. He routinely performs carpal tunnels, trigger fingers, hand/wrist fractures, nerve repair/transfers, arthritis and complex traumatic hand and upper extremity reconstruction. He uses his unique background in orthopedic and plastic surgery training to provide the most up-to-date surgical techniques to get you back to work and pain free. Many of his surgeries are also performed with a minimally invasive approach, such as endoscopic carpal tunnels, or even in the office with just local anesthesia to avoid the need for a hospital operating room.
