Healthy Cells Magazine of Bloomington

Why a health magazine?
The magazine has several purposes.

To get positive healthcare information to the public in a way that is accessible and convenient. Healthy Cells Magazine is distributed free in a wide range of locations to assure everybody can receive health information.

To provide local professionals a cost effective vehicle for promoting their business.

To provide an opportunity for local business and medical professionals to submit articles on health related topics that would be of interest and pertinent to the reader.

Who are the readers?
The magazine appeals to a wide range of readers, including those in the medical community. Although we know both genders read this publication, Healthy Cells Magazine is read by women 36 years and older and the largest demographic seems to be women between the ages of 36-55 years of age. This might be because women seem to make most of the healthcare decisions in their families.

What’s it about?
Healthy Cells is a local health magazine with most of the articles written by local professionals. Readers can find in the magazine information about local healthcare and then seek services from the trusted professionals that submit articles. Each edition includes a wide variety of articles on various topics. One of the benefits of advertising in Healthy Cells is that advertisers have the opportunity to submit articles and to be quoted as experts in articles that our writers pen. The cover story each month is about a local business, doctor or origination and is written by a professional writer.

Who receives it and how?
Healthy Cells is a stand-alone monthly publication that is available free throughout the community. 8,000 copies are distributed monthly to approximately 450 different locations in the Bloomington/Normal area. These locations are places where people wait such as doctor’s offices, salons and other waiting rooms where they are read several times each month. The magazine is also distributed in other high traffic locations such as grocery stores.
